Performance Coaching
& Consulting

For the athlete, executive, or high performer who is ready to close the gap between what they know and how they actually perform.

Coaching and consulting are two distinct but complementary ways of working. Coaching is collaborative. We work together to identify what's getting in the way, build clarity around your goals, and develop the mental tools that shape how you show up when it matters most. Consulting is more directive. I bring assessment, strategy, and specific recommendations to help you problem-solve and perform at the level you know you're capable of. Most clients experience both.

Laura is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has worked with collegiate and professional athletes, high-performing executives, and integrated sports medicine teams.

My Approach

Performance is rarely about effort. Most high performers are already working hard. What gets in the way is the gap between what you know and what you actually do under pressure.

I bring a PhD in Human Development, a background in competitive Division I and II collegiate volleyball, and years of work inside high-performance sport and professional environments. I understand what pressure feels like from the inside, and I know how to help you build the internal awareness and regulation skills that make the difference when it counts.

The work starts with you as a person, not just you as a performer. Your mindset, your patterns, your emotional responses, and your identity as someone who performs at a high level. From there, we build practical, tailored strategies that translate directly into your performance environment.

This is not about fixing something that's broken. It is about understanding your internal system well enough that what you know becomes what you do.

When you’re ready, I’d be honored to meet you.

Our Work Together

Every engagement is different because every performer and every performance environment is different. Below are the core areas I address with clients. The work is shaped around what's most relevant to you, your field, and where you are right now.

Explore each area to learn more.

  • The foundation of sustained performance is a trained mind. We identify the mental habits and thought patterns that are serving you and the ones that aren't, then build practical skills around focus, confidence, and consistency.

  • Talent shows up in practice. The best performers show up the same way in competition, in the boardroom, and in the moments that matter most. We work on the regulation skills that keep you grounded and effective under pressure, not just when conditions are ideal.

  • How you see yourself shapes everything. We explore the beliefs, values, and narratives that define how you perform and what you believe is possible, then build a more intentional relationship with your identity as a performer.

  • High performers in transition, whether moving into a new role, recovering from burnout, or navigating the end of a playing career, face a specific and often underestimated challenge. Laura has worked extensively in this space and brings both clinical expertise and lived understanding to the process.

  • For athletes, coaches, and executives operating inside teams and organizations, individual performance is always connected to group dynamics. We address communication, leadership presence, conflict navigation, and how to perform your role at the highest level inside a system you may not have built.

By the end of our work together, you will have a clearer understanding of how your internal world shapes your external performance. You will have practical tools you can actually use. And you will have a more grounded, sustainable relationship with what it means to perform at your best.
